Nancy Paris, a native of Goldsboro, NC. Studied voice, piano, drama and dance while growing up, this allowed her to compete in talent competitions and perform for several events and shows, thus sharpening and homing her skills for bigger and better things to come. After graduating from high school, she was offered the opportunity to work and attend Union Trust banking institute of Finances in Baltimore, MD. Where she work for two years after which, she headed to Honolulu, Hawaii where, for the next nine years, she would develop and escalate her musical career, while at the same time, running her own lighting and sound reinforcement company. Along with singing, today you can also find Nancy wearing many hats as she organizes events, acts as MC and commentator, helps to promote and develop “Open mic. Shows”, for radio and local TV shows and gives technical assistance in numerous musical and fashion productions. One of her greatest achievements was establishing herself in the senior community providing musical Jazzercise with her “Paris Booming seniors” crew. She performs during health fairs and events to get the senior community physically motivated doing cardiovascular activities. Recently, Nancy “Paris” Hines was honored by the District of Columbia’s Mayors office where she was recognized for her achievements and work in the community and on April 19, 2004, awarded her very own “Nancy Paris Hines day” in the District of Columbia. Nancy also taught at the Creative Arts academy, a program of teaching musical productions, modeling, finishing classes and sound engineering at the Anacostia High school based location. {Washington, DC.} Nancy’s aptitude, talent and versatility has led her to appreciate the many genres of music which have contributed to the development of a performance repertoire that includes, but is not limited to…Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Light Rock and even a bit of Country. Geographically, Nancy Paris has performed in many major and minor cities of these United States, as well as areas overseas. She continues to enhance her skills and to develop her talent through hard work and endurance, working with new, up and coming artist as well as well known artist of yester years. Although Nancy has worked and performed alongside too many artist to mention, some of her most memorable ones are the late, but sho’nuff great “Lady Byron” {Vocalist, Pianist, and ultra dynamic performer}; also a great friend and colige Mr. Nathan Heathman {Vocalist, keyboardist, music instructor, composer, arranger, band leader and recording artist} who, before is passing, work as music arranger for the late Phylis Hyman also Mrs. Jean Carnes, Norman Connors and just too many other to name.
